The Friday Five.
1. What is your favorite summer activity? Swimming. In a pool, though. I can handle chlorine, but salt water and sand are a bit much.
2. What was one great thing you did this summer? Um. Helping Mrs. Maus doesn't really county because I got paid. Starting college?
3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity? Running around outside all day. I used to love playing outside, bugs, heat, and all.
4. What has been your favorite summer vacation? They're all good and bad. The summer we came back stateside from Japan was cool, but so was the summer we came back from Germany, in a sense that I finally got some decent clothes again.
5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over? The end of summer has always been the beginning of the school year. True, that means that I'm going to school in the summer, but once my time is monopolized by schoolwork again, it just doesn't feel like summer anymore.

I decided to go home this weekend. It'll be the last (and, come to think of it, first) good chance I have to go home for more than a day before Thanksgiving. It felt weird this morning to pack up to go home. I feel like I had to take half my closet with me, but still. It'll be so weird to go back to my room. All the stuff I like is here, except my Harry Potter books. Might have to bring those back to campus with me.

I had a stupid moment earlier. My geography discussion session doesn't meet until next week, so I only have one class today, math at 2. While I was packing earlier, I glanced at the clock and saw 1:40. That worried me, because my professor started early on Wednesday, and it's a good ten- to fifteen-minute walk to the math building. It's up near the Big M all the way across campus. I shoved some stuff in my bag and started walking quickly. I made it to my classroom at about ten minutes of, so I was pleased. I walked in, sat down, then realized I didn't recognize any of the other people in the room. I looked at my watch and was absolutely floored to see that it was only noon. I'd misread 11:40 for 1:40. Not only did I have to embarrass myself by walking out of the room, but I had to come all the way back to my dorm. That just sucked.

I hope that mix-up isn't foretelling of my weekend. I imagine I'll spend most of it like I always did: going out with Greg, watching tv, getting online, and doing a bit of homework. Everyone says I should study two hours for every hour of class time, but I don't have that much stuff to do. There's only so much I can get out of rewriting my lecture notes.

Must finish packing, then go to my (actual!) math class.
