Argh. I hate not having time anymore. I don't even remember when I blogged last. ::checks Blogger::
Tuesday? Lord. Well, let me try to catch up.
Wednesday: NHS meeting in the morning, last-minute prep for inductions. Took a test in PreCal. Got it back today, 94. Mom only let me know she could pick me up from It's Academic when I was already on the bus, so that was shot. Then some homework while watching tv.
Yesterday: Witko had a sub, but we still had to do the outline quiz. It was simple. They usually are. Adkins test, which I know today I didn't get an A on. Darn. I hope I got a B. More
Hamlet with Ms. Sim, not-so-secret admirer antics with Jamesa and Ian. Greg stayed home to work on his RP paper, but came by to see me after school. Dominique called me easy, the idiot. Ms. Sim started hitting him with
Hamlet, and then I joined in, and later Sable did the same thing. That boy just does not know how to act around easily provoked women. He doesn't know how to act, period.
Speaking of after school, I stayed for NHS inductions. I volunteered for setup so I wouldn't have to go home and get a ride back to school. It was kind of boring until other members started showing up. I had some great conversations though, with Rena, Mykella, Alanna, Gonzo (who was only there 'cause Alanna was -- aww), Chris M., Rajni, Anna, Dana, and just about everyone. My feet were starting to hurt from wearing my slightly-dressy heels all day (we had to dress up), but it was fun. Rena and Sherelle (is that how you spell her name?) and I twisted streamers to decorate, and it was much more organized than our induction. I made punch (meaning I poured the ginger ale in) and took food home and was up late doing homework, but I'd be up late anyway. The great thing about being behind the scenes is that you're around when the food table turns into a carry-out. :)
And finally, today. I have a sore throat, so I was running slightly late this morning 'cause I made some tea. It worked for a few hours, but it wears off quickly. It wasn't as windy today as it was yesterday. Heavy wind like that makes it colder than cold. I got my RP Chapter Two back from Ms. Comerford. This time she only deducted points for my "current" section being so short. In truth, that was because it was
seriously late by the time I got to that section, so I cut it short. :X
Witko was tame today, Adkins was very off-topic (and he wondered why he got through so few discussion points....), and Ms. Sim let us mill around. I watched Greg and Ian play Magic for a while. Ian was being a stuck-up little... well, I won't say what I was thinking, but it starts with a 'b' and doesn't rhyme with 'witch.' He said something insulting and rude to me, so I threw one of Greg's Magic cards at him, which prompted, "You might be able to hit Greg and not get hit back, but don't think that's gonna work with me." Obviously he's forgotten that I hit him last week for saying something along the same lines. Someone just needs to put him in his place. He's cynical and sarcastic, and sometimes just a jerk. I mean, he's usually okay, but still. Enough is enough.
I had a pretty good day overall. God knows I needed one. I have no major assignments that have to be crammed into a weekend. Greg's coming over for movie night tomorrow, and I get to go shopping on Sunday. I haven't been shopping in about a month. No time. We went to Wal-Mart after dinner. I got a new wallet, was disappointed that they didn't have Mandy Moore's new CD, and looked for a new backpack. I should have gotten one in the summer; mine's falling apart now, and it's not "backpack season". Sigh.
Oh, and speaking of Mandy Moore, I finished
Someone Like You and
That Summer, the two books
How to Deal was based on. They took elements of the latter and mixed them in with the former. Both were good, but I like SLY (hehe, a word/acronym) better than TS. And now I can finally put that battered book on the shelf (that is, cram it in... I have quite a few books) and move on.
Yep. Today was a decent day for science.
Oh. As per tradition, the
Friday Five: Unpack Your Adjectives. (I always make up theme titles. Yay for School House Rock.)
1. Using one adjective, describe your current living space. Neat (as in clean, not cool.)
2. Using two adjectives, describe your current employer. I don't have a job.
3. Using three adjectives, describe your favorite hobby/pasttime. Reading: enriching, relaxing, escapist.
4. Using four adjectives, describe your typical day. Long, stressful, tiring, cold. I sound so sad when I say that, but it's true.
5. Using five adjectives, describe your ideal life. Oh, boy. Fulfilling, caring, hopeful, comfortable, warm.
