I almost forgot it's Lance from my beloved *NSync's birthday today!!! And I call myself a fan... but I guess it's because they've been ghostly for the past year or so. Stupid solo projects. Nope, I take that back. Justin's stuff rocks.
Check out
this spiffy pic of me that Sims made. Teehee. It's based on what I sound like (via email and such), since we've never met, but I still *heart* it.
I went to St. Charles today with Mom and the rugrats. (Lucius and the Death Eaters again!) We went to Borders first. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I had a 10% off coupon I wanted to use, and
The Second Summer of the Sisterhood (Ann Brashares) just came out, so I caved. But that's it. After I put in my Amazon order, no more books for at least a month. Maybe two. I have plenty to read, and I can always go on another library kick.
After Borders, we went to the mall to eat and shop some more. Greg texted me -- from across the food court. I texted that we were going to eat, and he texted "Look next to the elevator and tell your mom I said hi." I looked, saw Andrew (and Greg's back), and burst out laughing. That is such a
Greg thing to do. (And also reminiscent of that scene in
Clueless where Cher and Di are talking to each other on their cell phones, while walking together in the hall.) I told him not to approach me in the mall, in case I'd bought his present already. (I hadn't at the time, but I did right afterward.) So, before he left for the movies, he waved to me across the court. I smiled and waved back, wondering if anyone watching knew how infinitely weird and complex and wonderful our relationship is. Probably not.
So, I went and got Greg's present, then got a necklace from Afterthoughts and three shirts from Old Navy. Hooray for gitfcards. I wanted this gorgeous necklace I saw in New York and Company, but I didn't have time and the line was too long. (Got an old giftcard for that store, too, even though I never shop there. The clothes make me seem fat, which is ridiculous, so ::sticks tongue out:: to them.) My mom offered to buy me some capris in Kohl's, but I couldn't find any that fit right. Note to Old Navy: Capris are
not just short pants! Like Stephanie said when I ran into her there (saw Megan first, though; did not say the wrong name), their capris look like high waters. They're freakin' short pants. I have enough issues with pants length as is.
Then we dropped the rugrats off at Toys R Us and went to Target. I got most of what I meant to get, except that I forgot to buy a new umbrella. Still fuming about the
two that I lost, but I'll deal. Let's just hope I don't get caught in the rain anytime soon...
Came home, washed my gym clothes, finally cut my nails (yay for faster typing), ate, watched
American Dreams, and did another question for
Billy Budd. Also, I joined several more
fanlistings last night. But I'm late to bed now, and I'm doing a survey for my uJ, so ttfn.
