I'm thinking that whatever I did on Saturday, it was nothing special. I think it was another of those days when I don't even leave the house. Which is not a bad thing, because I wash my hair on Saturdays, and that takes a while, and then it looks bad for the next few days. Or even worse, it looks bad until I wash it again! I refer to those as "bad hair cycles". Not fun.

Yesterday was much better, and much harder to forget. Greg and I went to the movies. We saw What a Girl Wants, which wasn't terrible, per se. It was decent, and it made me laugh. And I saw nifty previews. Apparently that movie with Mandy Moore I've been hearing about, How to Deal, is finally being released. Looks very interesting. We went to Borders first though. The Princess Diaries, Volume III: Princess in Love finally came out in paperback. And they had a "Buy Four Books, Get the Least Expensive One Free" sale, so I got a book I was unsure about buying. It's not my money, though; I have a very benevolent relative who is unmarried and childless, so she treats me and the rugrats like her own children. And she loves to read as much as I do (only, like, Danielle Steel books), so she gives me Borders giftcards on special occasions. I don't think I've paid cash for a book in over a year. After Borders, we went to the little carnival thing near the mall. I had a very good time, but please don't press me for details. I already dished privately in my uJournal.

I didn't really do anything today, which suits me just fine. I went to renew a library book for my mom, and found out it's not due for another two weeks, but she has an overdue book. ::gasps in mock horror:: For shame, Mother, for shame! I'll let her know about it later, as she has gone off somewhere and I don't know when she'll be back. She always comes back, though, so I'm not worried.

I started reading a new book, though. (I finished Alice Alone on Sunday. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy the Alice series.) I heard good things about it in my magazines, so I decided to give it a try. It was one of my library's-closing-what-else-should-I-get picks: Sloppy Firsts, by Megan McCafferty. I only read the first month (it covers a year, apparently), but I can already tell I'm going to like it. Very modern, very real, very honest. I'll let you know how it turns out. Right now, though, I'm going off to see if I can make something out of that place I like to call my web page. Wish me luck. ::goes off to attempt nifty things with HTML and CSS::
