Grr. Missed another weekend of blogging. So, Friday was an ordinary day. Saturday morning, I took the SAT. It wasn't as scary as people make it out to be, but maybe that's because I've been doing test prep since... last fall. Yeah. I didn't do much studying specifically for the SAT, but I used all the strategies I learned for the PSAT and some from that workshop/seminar I went to. For example, stupids. Those problems that have a funny-looking symbol in them, as in, "If a§b= (a+b)/(a-b), then what is the value of the expression 4§8?" The symbol really doesn't mean anything; it's just there to confuse you. And if you don't know how to work that kind of problem, it does.

The experimental section in my test was math. Blech. That means I had four math sections, and three verbal. It went verbal, math, math, math, verbal, verbal, math. The critical reading passages were interesting, so that made them less difficult. I had the strangest problem with one of the math questions, though: I couldn't add. Seriously. I read the question, wrote my equation, solved it, and my answer wasn't one of the choices. So I backed up a few steps, saw that I added when I meant to subract, and got a different answer. Still not one of the choices. I'm thinking, What is wrong with me? I eventually got a viable answer. I hope it was the right one. Overall, though, I think I did okay. I have to double-check, but the scores should be in before the June registration deadline, so I'll know if I want to take it again.

Now there's just the AP English Language Exam, possible SAT II's, college searching (which I must step up soon), regular school stress.... Grr. Very grr.
