Grr-ness. Science fair projects are due on Friday. This only hit me over the weekend. Just as I finished blogging, my mom walked in and said, "Is there anything you need to tell me?" She never asks that sort of thing, so Procratinator!Lindsay was caught off guard and finally mentioned the not-yet-started project. I've known what I wanted to do this year since the end of last year. Back at Flowers, they made us write proposals for this year's projects. Mine was one of the few that got an A. So, when Dr. J asked for our abstracts (was it really December? I am so lazy!), I just tweaked my proposal and handed it in. He misunderstood, though, and apparently thinks that I did this project last year. But I wasn't about to correct him -- he gave me progress points without an actual "progress report".

So this year, I am making a windmill. The actual model was just finished a few hours ago. Must do the testing tomorrow, finish the report (do we even have to have reports?), and do my board. More grr. I used to be really good about projects, getting them done way ahead of time. Then, I gradually started to put things off, until I wound up actually becoming a procrastinator. Which sucks. A lot. Eats into my tv and lounging time.

To catch up on the past few days:
Sunday: End of glorious four-day weekend, during which I did not really get anything done. Must be more productive. Worked on project all day (which is to say, started working after lunch at 1-ish, continued while catching up on last week's episodes of Smallville and Everwood, stopped after American Dreams).
Monday: Skipped It's Academic in favor of more science-fair-project-work-time. Had house to self, due to Dad working and Mom taking Rugrats to see wrestling match (meet?). Took break to watch Jeopardy! Teen Tournament. Reminded of personal ambition to compete on aforementioned show. Reminded self to visit show website for info. (Only remembering reminder just now...) Watched 7th Heaven and Everwood, squeezed in some Internet time.
Today: Skipped It's Ac again, even though Mrs. Anderson said they "missed me yesterday". Feel that team can function without me when necessary, except for book-related questions. Finally finished model for project. Did laundry. Argued with Mom. Resolved argument. Wound up here.

The college mail continues. Nothing especially interesting. Oh, wait. Caltech's reply form actually has a block that says, "NO, NO, leave me alone. Please take me off your database." (Shouldn't that be "out of your database?) That's the first time I've seen something like that. ... Ooh, pretty stationery from Arcadia University. (Yeah, I've never heard of it, either -- it's in PA, it seems. Been to London, though. Once is good enough.)

Yawn. Getting late. I've pushed my bedtime later in the past few months, which is not exactly good, but not all bad, either. Oh, well. Sleep good. Ciao.
