W00t! Snow day! It snowed late last night, and it didn't stop until late this morning, so the schools were closed! It's been so long since we've had a snow day, I almost forgot how refreshing they are.

Winter is incredible. Sure, it's so cold you wonder why your fingers aren'y frostbitten year after year. And yes, snow on the day you had something important to do is really annoying. But the snow is so beautiful. I was in a poetic mood this morning, so I came up with this: Snow is so wonderful. It can take something as cold and dead as a leafless tree and make it seem beautiful and magical. Pure, white snow covers everything. It erases the bad, leaving the wonderful aroma of good. =)

I have now officially beta-ed everything I'd promised to. The first beta chapter of Greg's fic is not up yet, so no linkage. (Sorry, Andra. Soon, I promise.) I can tell you that it's post-Hogwarts, R-rated (but *I* was involved, so you know it's relatively tame), and involves many characters, places, and creatures that we all know and love. And that beta-ing, while a lot of work, is *so* fun. I sit here at the computer, cutting and pasting, keyboard clicking, riffling through the pages of my references (a dictionary, Fantastic Beasts, Goblet of Fire, and Prisoner of Azkaban). But when I look over the finished product, I know that all the work is worth it. Especially when Greg gives me credit for saving him from Wandering Around Without a Plot Syndrome. =)
