School daze. I meant to blog about my first week back at school yesterday, but I forgot. Better late than never, right? We moved this summer, so I had to change schools again. Oddly enough, it's the same school that my mom graduated from. And it was getting old when
she went there. Not only are there chalkboards (instead of whiteboards), they're black. I'd never seen an actual blackboard in my life. It's so weird.
Classes are okay. I had to get my schedule changed, which stuck me with second period lunch. (That's at about 10:15; school doesn't start til 9:30.) I have one class with freshmen, and one with sophomores, which would be odd for most juniors, but not me. The same thing happened last years. Boys and girls, procrastination is bad. If you can get it over with now, do. They issued lockers Friday, but everything is so unorganized I actually couldn't find mine. To make matters worse, I found the locker that comes
after mine. Common sense would leave you to believe that my locker should be next to the one I found, but of course not. That would be too kind.
On the bright side, I only got lost twice the whole week. I think I know my way around now... kind of. I tend to think that every new school I go to (and I've been to several) is confusing, but they are! Really! I looked at a map, and it's not as easy as people make it seem. Take my Energy Systems class. It's in room 230. You'd think that would be on the second floor, right? Wrong. It's
outside. Well, not exactly, but it's nowhere near the other rooms that start with a 2. I'm glad my umbrella is especially tote-able; it helped when it rained this week and I had classes in the temporaries. They've been around since my mom went there. The temps, I mean. You think they'd give up and build regular rooms, but no. Instead, they built a new high school (where I went last year; that was a change of surroundings), and demolished the gym. It was condemned. The new one will take a few years to build, so I refer to it as "where the gym
used to be." I suppose I'll get used to it soon enough. I always do. =)
Oh, and I passed my driving school final. I got a 92. Maybe fate decided to give me a break. Later, gotta run. =)
