Ordinary Day. Love that song. "Ordinary Day," by Vanessa Carlton. It's so pretty. I didn't even realize it was a waltz until I read it in Teen People yesterday. (That was what I did instead of going to the football game during school. IMNSHO, football is an idiotic waste of time. Except for the marching band -- ours is pretty good.) The song has such great lyrics, too. I like lyrics.

Please come with me/See what I see/Touch the stars/For time will not flee --Ordinary Day, Vanessa Carlton

I never spend less than a hour/Washing my hair in the shower/It always takes five hours to make it straight --My World, Avril Lavigne

I wanna run through the halls of my high school/I wanna scream at the top of my lungs/I just found out there's no such thing as the real world/Just a lie you've got to rise above --No Such Thing, John Mayer

Sigh.

Dad took me out driving again today. I'm getting much better at turning, so we worked on parking today. It wasn't pretty. Dad let me drive down into our little development, up to the house. I came across one moving car, and a person, but I didn't crash. *does private happy dance in celebration*

I had to write a story for English this week. We had to write the story of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" in a different style. I chose Meg Cabot, from "The Princess Diaries." Well, at least that's what I ended up with. I originally wanted to do "Holes" (Louis Sachar), then "The View from Saturday" (E.L. Kongisburg), but I couldn't get it right. When I got the idea for "The Porridge Diaries," I just ran with it. It totally worked out. I'm thinking of submitting it to fanfiction.net, if I get around to it. Maybe I could write my own "Fractured Fairy Tales." Hmmmm...
