I finished my drawing for Lifsey's class yesterday, and he hasn't given us a new assignment, and I have time to kill, a computer, and a wicked fast connection, so here I am. Since the test is over, we went back to regular stuff in AP English. Bleh. The Billy Budd worksheet is due on Wednesday, and I'm less than halfway through. I stopped reading at Ch. 17 to start answering the questions and listing allusions, so I'm rather behind. But I can handle it.

No major makeup work from Tuesday. Mark said he didn't miss me, the liar. Without me (and Dominique, our other partner, whom he "didn't miss" either), the robot would just be a gearbox. She made the wheels, I made the wedge (twice!), and he did the noisy but oh-so-cool gearbox. It was a team effort, wise guy. That mini-rant aside, I still have two laps to make up for gym class, but I'll just do extras to catch up. I usually "run" five, and we only have to do four, so I'll have it picked up soon enough.

Wonderfully odd conversation yesterday while we were waiting for Mr. T in It's Ac. Ian and the girl whom I shall not name are not official, it seems. Like Hope said, PDA + the grapevine + accidental gossip = everyone in your business. I know how that feels. Greg had to leave early. When I went up to his locker with him, everyone was calling to me not to catch anything. :P This relationship is complicated enough without the jeers. And we wrapped early, so I was stuck outside waiting for Mom to pick me up. It wasn't so bad; I just stood around talking to Jorge, McClain, Andrew, and some other girl whose name I don't know.

I did my Trig homework while I watched Jeopardy! Complex numbers and the Tournament of Champions -- how's that for exercising the mind? Practiced piano for about half an hour, checked my email and started my at-the-wire ACT registration (which I plan to finish tonight), then watched Angel with Greg. That is, I watched, he called me, and we talked. But I was really sleepy, so I went to bed early. I was honestly afraid I'd fall asleep on the phone.

Nevertheless, I woke up tired this morning. Mom went on Courtney's field trip to Williamsburg, so I had to wake up Ryan, which put me about five minutes behind schedule. He just refused to wake up. I turned on the lights and his tv, I shook him, I rolled him over, I threatened to physically remove him from his bed and put him on the floor. He got up eventually, then apparently got dressed and climbed back into bed. That's against my personal rule. Once I get out of bed, I don't get back in. It helps train my mind that when I'm in bed, it's time for sleep. I toss and turn less that way, but bedhead prevails.

I almost forgot about my National Honor Society application. I was part of it back at Flowers. There were no seniors, so they started their chapter in the spring, with sophomores. I went through the application stress then, and earlier with National Junior Honor Society (I wear that t-shirt almost every Saturday), so this time should not be a big deal. I think I have a copy of that application somewhere, and I plan on writing a side note about the Flowers situation. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Massive rain between third and fourth periods today. Unfortunately, I have to go outside during that passing time. It was raining circus animals, I'll tell ya. I'm so glad I got that new umbrella on Tuesday. I'm keeping tabs on this one. I know exactly where it is: in the slipcase-thing, inside my backpack. ::leans over to check:: Yep. If I lose this one, someone's going to pay. Grr.

Gotta go. Bell in a few minutes. Off to gym, probably to run more laps. Bleh.
