I love my dad. Not that I didn't before, but we have a great relationship. We bonded over Star Trek: Voyager, before it got canceled, but otherwise, we're all about the laughs. Like just now. My dad got to talking about Harry Potter with me (no, he's not a fan, but I'm determined to convert him.) Pretty much the only books he ever mentions are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. He's stuck on "Bilbo Baggins and his hairy tufted feet." He was telling me how he used to play Dungeons and Dragons with his friends when he was little, and how they'd play all day. Just like I do when I find some really good HP fanfiction.

So then, he tells me that he and his friends would "see someone else and say, 'Next time, let's gang up on him. I'll distract him and you can sneak up behind him and steal his donkeys-'" At that point, I started laughing so hard, I cried and almost fell out of my chair. It was honestly *that* funny.

So, I guess I don't have the best relationship with my family in general, but we like to laugh. And laughter is good for the soul. =)
